I hope your week is off to a great start.  I am passing along some information about a national aviation art contest in which we hope some of your students will participate!  February 29, 2008 is the deadline for entries.  The contest is for students ages 7 - 18, and students will be divided into three classes by age for judging.  The theme is "Design an Aviation Stamp."  The task of designing a postage stamp that "celebrates the aviation experience" must be completed by the student, and no computer-generated artwork will be accepted for judging.  Also note that "no pencil, charcoal, or other non-permanent medium may be used."  For more important information please see the attached document.  This document can be obtained by going to www.brewertrophy.org and clicking "art contest."   If you have further questions, please email brewertrophy@gmail.com.  This contest is brought to you by the Brewer Trophy Aviation Eduction Association (BTAEA) and the American Society of Aviation Artists (ASAA).  This is a wonderful opportunity!  Please pass this information along to the teachers at your school!
