MEMORANDUM FOR SER Encampment (29 Dec 07 thru 5 Jan 08)

SUBJECT: SOUTH EAST REGION WINTER ENCAMPMENT
WHAT: This encampment can be the most significant and worthwhile training experience that a cadet will recieve.
WHERE: The location for this Encampment will be at Camp Blanding located in Starke, FL from 29 Dec 07 thru 5 Jan 08 (use the map locator to find directions form you home).
Transportation to and from the site is the responsibility of the member.
ELIGIBILITY: A cadet applicant shall have completed the curry acievement prior to attending this event. A cadet that has already completed an encampment can return as a Doolie or request a staff position. Staff positions are limited so apply early.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Any member wishing to participate in this Activity should inform their unit commander immediately. Participants must complete the following before 4 Dec 07:
1) A completed SER Form 500
2) Two completed CAPF60 brought with you and one turned in at time of check-in.
3) A check or money order for $150.00 ($175.00 after 4 December 07)payable to: “South East Region CAP”
4) Mail to: Maj David Leach, 1935 Fruitridge St. Brandon, FL 33510)
EQUIPMENT: Review equipment list carefully in the Operations Order. Any equipment brought that is not listed on the equipment list will be considered contraband and confiscated upon arrival. Do not bring anything not specifically listed. It is recommended that the cadet packs his or her gear so that it may all be transported with relative ease in one single trip.
